Major Lazer Drops 'Light It Up' Video Feat. Nyla and Fuse

Major Lazer debuted a new music video for “Light It Up” featuring Nyla and Fuse ODG, which appeared on their 2015 album Peace is the Mission

Directed by Sam Pilling, the video was shot in Ghana. “Because Fuse’s family is from Ghana we thought it would bring a really interesting aesthetic to film the video there,” Pilling said in a press release. “Delving deeper into Ghanaian culture, we found that their traditional funeral ceremonies perfectly exemplify this sense of coming together to rise up against sadness.”

The “Light It Up” video release follows a momentous start to the year for Diplo, the group’s creator, who won Grammys for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording with Skrillex and Justin Bieber.

Additionally, Major Lazer will be performing at a free show in Tribuna José Martí at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, becoming one of the first major American artists to play there since diplomatic ties were restored between the U.S. and Cuba.
